On a cool spring afternoon, I saddled up on my first horse and rode for more than an hour on a winding trail that rolled cross high hills and stumbling rocky roads. I will not tell a lie and pretend that the first 30 minutes, I was calm and simply enjoyed the ride. Instead, I was clutched fist on a mature horse, that knew exactly what he needed and wanted to do.
I never knew that this tiny smelly section of paradise existed. Once I realized that my horse was kind, I began to relax and let him do his thing. I began to feel comfortable about the process and now I long for my next ride. Since this is an urban travel guide, I will now provide you the details of going and enjoying this magical experience.
There are several things to keep in mind when preparing for this outdoor adventure.
1. Attire: Your attire should be comfortable, not only stylish. The cowgirl boots would be an amazing addition. Keep in mind, you will be in the woods and deer ticks are a real thing. Your shirt should be comfortable for the season and I suggest long pants. I can not lie, the deer ticks really freak me out. 3. Companions: It is unwise to ring someone that complains about everything with you. The saddle is uncomfortable and it is very bumpy on the trail. The animals are kind, but they will come up to you.
All in all, it was an amazing experience. I find myself longing to go back and enjoy another ridge with an animal that I fell in love with.
